Answers to the questions people ask most. If yours isn't here, email support@hushtrove.com.
I forgot my passcode
On the lock screen, tap Forgot Passcode? and enter your Recovery Key, the 28-character code you saved when you set up Hushtrove. You'll then choose a new passcode.
Without your passcode or your Recovery Key, nobody can open the vault, including us. We never have a copy of either.
Face ID stopped working
If a face is added or changed in iOS Settings › Face ID & Passcode, Hushtrove switches Face ID off for the vault as a precaution. Open the vault with your passcode, then turn Face ID back on in Hushtrove's Settings › Passcode & Face ID.
Moving to a new iPhone
Moving your vault uses iCloud backup, which is part of Hushtrove Pro.
- On your old iPhone, open Hushtrove's Settings › iCloud Backup and tap Back Up Now. Wait until it finishes.
- On your new iPhone, sign in with the same Apple Account, install Hushtrove and tap Restore from iCloud.
- Enter your passcode. If iCloud Keychain isn't set up on the new iPhone, use your Recovery Key instead.
Restoring Hushtrove Pro
Pro belongs to your Apple Account, so you never pay twice. After reinstalling or on a new iPhone, open Hushtrove's Settings and tap Restore Purchase.
Deleted photos still show in Photos
iOS keeps deleted photos in Photos › Recently Deleted for 30 days. Open that album and delete them there to remove them for good. No app can skip this step.
Deleting your data
Deleting Hushtrove erases the vault on that iPhone. To remove your iCloud backup too, first open Hushtrove's Settings › iCloud Backup and tap Delete iCloud Backup.
Contact us
Email support@hushtrove.com and tell us your iPhone model and iOS version.
We will never ask for your passcode or Recovery Key. Don't send them to anyone.
